Job Overview
We are looking for a Sales Consultant to generate new business and grow Zerri’s client base.
You will contact prospective clients, understand their energy needs and explain where Zerri could add value. You will manage opportunities from initial contact through to proposal and agreement.
This role would suit someone who is confident speaking to businesses, commercially focused and comfortable working towards sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and contact prospective business clients.
- Generate leads through outbound calls, emails, referrals and networking.
- Speak with decision-makers to understand their energy needs and current arrangements.
- Explain Zerri’s solar export, PPA and P442 services clearly.
- Arrange sales calls and meetings.
- Prepare proposals with support from the wider team.
- Manage opportunities from first contact through to agreement.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date.
- Work towards agreed sales and activity targets.
- Build long-term relationships with clients.
- Keep up to date with Zerri’s services and relevant energy-market developments.
- Provide regular pipeline and sales updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, business development or a similar client-facing role.
- Confident telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and questioning skills.
- A clear and straightforward communication style.
- Good commercial awareness.
- The confidence to generate new business through outbound activity.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage several opportunities at once.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive and target-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in energy, renewables, utilities or sustainability would be useful but is not essential.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
