The Business
Hawthorn is proud to be partnering with a private equity-backed group of premium manufacturing brands to recruit a Management Accountant. Built over years of strategic investment and reinvestment, this is a business with genuine scale and ambition, made up of multiple market-leading brands, each with their own identity, but united by a shared drive to grow.
With group revenues of c£85m and growing year on year, this isn't a business standing still. Backed by a private equity partner with a long-term view and continued confidence in the leadership team, they're on a clearly defined trajectory towards their next phase of growth. And crucially, they're not just growing the top line, they're investing directly in the finance function to support it, bringing in new talent, modernising processes, and building the infrastructure needed to scale sustainably.
The Role
At its heart, this is a genuine Management Accountant role. You'll own the core fundamentals: month-end processes, management accounts, accruals and provisions, and business partnering within a close-knit finance team.
But this isn't a role that stands still. As the finance function modernises, and it is modernising fast, there's real scope to grow into the commercial side of the business. This Management Accountant Job will enable you to work closely with operations, getting involved in factory-level reporting, and helping shape the data and insight that drives decision-making across the group. There is a real opportunity for autonomy and an opportunity to make it your own.
Why This Role
This business is well established and still growing under private equity investment, and so is its finance function. As both evolve, so will your role and your opportunities. You'll be working closely with both the CFO and the Group Financial Controller, both invested in developing talent, not just managing a team.
They have an excellent culture that puts people first newly shaped, collaborative, and refreshingly non-hierarchical. Everyone has a voice, and problem-solving happens out loud, together. This is a PE-backed group with a clear growth story and continued investment behind it. You'll be joining at a genuinely exciting point in that journey and be able to add value from day one.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified (CIMA, ACCA OR ACA) or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification or QBE

- Someone curious and driven, who wants more than a status-quo role. If you're looking to build your commercial exposure and grow into business partnering over time, this is built for you
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, this is a business actively modernising, not one standing still
