About Awralla Hair Salon
Awralla Hair Salon is a professional ladies’ hair salon specialising in Afro and textured hair. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and reliable Hairdresser to join our team and provide high-quality hair services to our clients.
The Role
As a Hairdresser at Awralla, you will be responsible for providing a range of professional hair services while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a high standard of salon presentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Consult with clients to understand their hair needs and recommend suitable styles and treatments.
* Perform professional hair services including:
* Braids and protective styles
* Weaves
* Silk press and blow-drying
* Natural hair styling
* Hair colouring
* Cutting and styling
* Hair treatments
* Work confidently with Afro and textured hair.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety.
* Look after salon equipment and products responsibly.
* Provide a friendly, professional and welcoming experience for every client.
* Maintain good time management and keep appointments running smoothly.
* Work positively and professionally as part of the salon team.
* Keep up to date with current hair trends, techniques and products.
Requirements
The successful candidate should:
* Have proven professional hairdressing experience.
* Have strong experience working with Afro/textured hair.
* Be confident performing a variety of hair services.
* Have excellent communication and customer-service skills.
* Be reliable, punctual and professional.
* Have a passion for hairdressing and attention to detail.
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Have a portfolio of previous work where possible.
