JOB TITLE: Heritage Warden
LOCATION: London, WC2N
PAY RATE: £15.16 per hour
THE ROLE:
This role requires a dedicated Security professional to undertake a range of duties to protect the fabric of the squares and prevent malicious damage to them. This role also requires a readiness for a variety of shifts.
The security operation provided by the teams operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It requires Security Officers of a high calibre who are adaptable, proactive and motivated to deliver the highest standard of service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide security presence
- Upholding the byelaws and the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
- Uphold codes of practice and policies in place.
- Facilitate good management of the spaces and help visitors to the Squares.
- Assist the public and help anyone in difficulties.
- Cover multiple areas of the site, search area, loading bay, external patrols etc.
- Manage incidents and emergencies.
- Facilitate the delivery of a range of events including filming, photo shoots, rallies, demonstrations and cultural events.
- Protect the fabric of the squares and prevent malicious damage to them.

Skills/Experience:
- Possess demonstratable experience in an enforcement role, have in-depth knowledge of ‘Incident, accident and damage’ reporting.
- You must be capable of dealing with a variety of situations and be very customer service focused.
- You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, attaining an adept level of verbal and written English.
- Computer literate, with the ability to compose and reply effectively to multiple forms of written correspondence.
- Management of external contractors, invited associates and key client liaison.
- You must have good organisational and record-keeping skills, be well-presented at all times.
- You must be physically fit as this is a demanding role as most of your duties will take place outdoors.
- Previous experience in a security/facilities/retail environment desired.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to provide a check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits).
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:
Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
