Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team during daytime or nightime hours. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
- Administer medication following prescribed guidelines (training provided if necessary)
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning when required
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments, ensuring their safety at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and team members
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others and improve their quality of life
