We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counsellor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide professional support and guidance to individuals facing personal, emotional, or psychological challenges. Responsibilities
- Conduct confidential counselling sessions with clients, ensuring a supportive and empathetic environment.
- Develop personalised care plans based on individual needs and circumstances.
- Utilise effective communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all counselling sessions in compliance with organisational policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support services.
- Provide guidance on coping strategies and behavioural techniques to help clients manage their issues.
- Stay informed of best practices and current developments within mental health and counselling fields.
- Promote awareness of available services through outreach activities and community engagement.
Qualifications
- recognised qualification in counselling, psychology, social work, or related field.
- Proven experience in providing counselling or psychological support is preferred but not essential for internship roles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple cases effectively and maintain detailed records.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities when working within multidisciplinary teams or leading group sessions.
- Knowledge of IT systems used for record keeping and case management is desirable.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual client needs is advantageous.
