Counterbalance FLT Driver – Stanton, Bury St Edmunds

Salary: £29,120 per annum (£14.00 per hour)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Areera is a growing recycling business operating across the UK, specialising in the recycling and recovery of electrical equipment.
As part of our continued growth, we have opened a new site in Stanton, Bury St Edmunds and are looking for experienced Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join our new team.
This is a permanent opportunity and a great chance to join the site from the outset, while benefiting from the stability and support of a much larger, established recycling business.
The role
Working as part of the wider site team, you will play an important role in keeping materials moving safely and efficiently throughout the operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles and materials
- Moving and positioning stock and recyclable materials around the site
- Carrying out routine FLT safety checks
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
- Working flexibly as part of the wider team to support the day-to-day operation
About you
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
- Have a minimum of 12 months' Counterbalance FLT driving experience
- Be confident working in a busy industrial, warehouse, recycling or production environment
- Have a good understanding of safe FLT operation and workplace health and safety
- Be reliable, practical and comfortable working as part of a team
- Be flexible and willing to support with other site duties when required
Previous experience within recycling, manufacturing, warehousing or a similar operational environment would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
