Philbys Ltd is continuing to grow, and we are now looking for an experienced Gas Engineer / Plumber to join our expanding team.
With over 12 years in the industry, we specialise in reactive maintenance and currently have nearly 100 engineers working in the field daily. Due to increased demand, we’re looking for a reliable, skilled, and professional engineer to help us maintain our high standards of service.
The Role:
This is a fast-paced, field-based role focused on reactive maintenance across domestic properties. You will be attending a variety of jobs each day, typically completing:
- 6–9 jobs per day
- Emergency call-outs and urgent repairs
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- First-time fixes where possible
Scope of Works:
You will be expected to carry out a wide range of gas and plumbing tasks, including but not limited to:
- Boiler breakdowns, servicing, and repairs
- Gas appliance diagnostics and maintenance
- General plumbing repairs (leaks, taps, toilets, pipework, etc.)
- Heating system faults (radiators, valves, pumps)
- Identifying issues quickly and providing effective solutions
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with regulations

What We’re Looking For:
- Gas Safe Registered engineer (essential)
- Relevant gas qualifications and certifications
- Solid experience in plumbing and reactive maintenance
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Professional attitude and good customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
