Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Generator Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power generation equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of generators that power critical systems across various facilities. Your expertise will help maintain uninterrupted power supply, optimize generator performance, and uphold safety standards. This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday but we require you to be available to work overtime as and when required outside of normal working hours.
Your focus:
- Deliver, install / de-install our range of generators, pumps, filtration equipment and tanks for our customers.
- Carry out mechanical servicing and fault finding.
- Hand-over of equipment to the customer and instruct customer on correct usage.
- Assist in operational project preparation involving mechanical, electrical and diesel systems.
- Monitor parts inventory and maintain minimum stock levels.
- Provide guidance to other operation team members.
Your profile:
- Strong electrical bias with mechanical (diesel and/or pump) experience.
- Experience in a service technician role or similar.
- Driving license B essential.
- Experience with plant or equipment hire business desirable.
- You can be a team player or work independently with high flexibility.
- Able to make occasional overnight trips.
- Valuable competences: proactive, service oriented, team player, flexible and independent.
- Good oral and written communication skills (essential)
- Basic knowledge of IT to complete work sheets and safety training.
