As an ALN Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences for pupils with a range of additional learning needs. Every day is different, offering the opportunity to use your creativity, patience, and expertise to help young people succeed both academically and personally.
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs
Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom where every learner feels supported and valued
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies to maximise achievement
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, carers, and external agencies
Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges where appropriate
Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and resilience
Maintaining accurate records and adhering to safeguarding and school policies at all times
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous experience working with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) learners
Experience working within an Alternative Provision setting (highly desirable)
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one – we can help!)
EWC Registration (or willingness to register)
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
