We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team at Salthouse Tapas Chester. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive until their departure. Your friendly demeanour and attention to detail will contribute significantly to creating a welcoming atmosphere within our establishment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimise guest flow.
- Assist guests with menu selections, including upselling specials and promotions to enhance their dining experience.
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables and waiting areas.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of food items.
- Support other team members as needed during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a passion for delivering outstanding guest services.
- Proficiency in basic maths for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to upselling menu items and enhancing the overall dining experience.
