Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of construction tasks, supporting the completion of projects efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Assisting with excavation work using excavators and hand tools to prepare sites for construction activities
- Operating power tools and specialised equipment safely and effectively
- Performing welding tasks where necessary, adhering to safety standards and technical specifications
- Using hand tools and power tools for assembly, demolition, or modification of structures
- Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs
- Supporting electrical work by assisting with wiring or installation tasks under supervision
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards of quality and safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience with excavators, welding, hand tools, or power tools is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Basic mechanical knowledge or electrical experience is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on different construction sites
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working at heights if required
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and protocols in a construction environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are a plus but not mandatory

Pay: £26,500.00-£80,900.00 per year
