Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Service Technician to join our dealership service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and assisting with vehicle inspections prior to delivery.
The Service Technician will work closely with the Aftersales Manager, service advisors, warranty specialists and parts personnel to ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair vehicles brought to the dealership and inspect new vehicles before delivery.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repair work in line with manufacturer standards.
- Assist other technicians with servicing and repair work where required.
- Inform service advisors of work completed and highlight any additional repairs required.
- Ensure all repair work is completed correctly and within the allocated time.
- Maintain strong working relationships with service advisors, warranty specialists, and parts personnel.
- Maintain workshop equipment and report any faults or defects.
- Follow all Health and Safety regulations and ensure a clean and organised working environment.
- Keep up to date with manufacturer technical updates and attend training where required.
- Follow company policies, procedures and departmental processes.
Requirements
- IMI Level 3 Qualification in Light Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance
- L3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, transmissions, steering, suspension, air conditioning systems, brakes and driveline systems would be advantageous.
- F-Gas qualification would be an advantage, although training can be arranged.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high workshop standards.
