Engineer Job Description
To work under the Technical Director to deliver supporting engineering functions primarily for Acrospire Solutions Ltd but supporting EVPZee Ltd where capacity/demand exists. The role will include new order triage, new product development and production engineering.
Main Tasks
· To second sign BOM created by CS department for standard products
· Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
· To contribute to new product development; including creation of design performance tests and conduct them on projects to assure quality including;
Thermal testing
Fit and function testing
Confirm product performance against relevant standards
· Draft project/bespoke BOM creation including BOM cost calculation
· Contribution to “Make or Buy” research and decisions
· Create technical content for datasheets and website content
· Identify engineering problems within production and ensure solutions are implemented in a timely manner.
· Update BOM and drawing registers based on feedback from production.
· Day to day management and updating of teams development channel
· Undertake basic lighting designs/spacing calcs (training to be provided)
· To attend site as necessary
· To give technical support to all areas of the business when needed.
· To undertake any other task deemed necessary by the management team
· Day to day management and development of Apprentice Support Technician
Engineer requirements and qualifications
- Minimum HND Level
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- CAD experience advantageous
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Attention to details
- Proactive problem solver
- Reporting to: Technical Director
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
