Plant Fitter – Full Time
We are looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join our busy team on a full-time basis at our WD4 depot.
This is a varied role within a fast-paced working environment, so we're looking for someone who is reliable, well organised, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of plant and vehicles.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out breakdown repairs.
- Completing vehicle inspections and ensuring all equipment is safe and roadworthy.
- Managing the day-to-day workload of a small team and allocating jobs efficiently.
- Liaising with colleagues to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
- Keeping the workshop and yard clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Experience Required
Applicants must have experience servicing and repairing:
- JCB 3CX Backhoe Loaders
- Excavators (1.5T–20T)
- Dumpers
- Rollers
- Dozers
- Lorries
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in plant maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Experience managing or supervising a small team.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Checkable references.
Desirable
- Welding and fabrication experience.
Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
