Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various operational tasks within our café environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer queries, and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food preparation and service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system; manage basic maths for change and sales reconciliation.
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive customer experience and efficient operation of the café.
Skills
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen duties when needed.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods effectively.
- Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to engage with customers confidently.
