Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries related to medication usage and safety
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles accordingly
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment
- Follow strict confidentiality protocols when handling patient information and medication details
- Assist patients with over the counter queries and medications and refer to pharmacist when appropriate
Experience
- Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety guidelines is advantageous
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and support
- Organised, detail-focused, with excellent organisational skills and accuracy in work tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team within a busy environment
