Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. With previous leadership experience essential and a minimum of level 3 early years qualification.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education to children, supporting their development in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery alongside the manager.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and EYFS requirements.
- Drive high-quality teaching, learning, and development outcomes for children.
- Recruit, mentor, train, and support nursery staff to achieve their full potential.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Prepare for and manage regulatory inspections, ensuring excellent standards are maintained.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging nursery culture.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas.
- Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development through personalised care and educational programmes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Observe, record, and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth running of daily routines and activities.
- Lead by example in demonstrating professional behaviour, management skills, and leadership within the nursery setting.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals to support children's well-being.
- Assist in organising outings or trips that enhance learning experiences outside the nursery setting.
- Ensure compliance with all nursery policies, procedures, and early years regulations.
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
