We’re embarking on an exciting new chapter in developing the Phoenix Learning Academy to include formal Care and Education qualifications. We’re looking for a passionate, forward‑thinking Qualifications and Inclusions Manager to help shape it.
This brand‑new role sits at the heart of our mission to deliver training programmes and qualifications, that are not only high‑quality and future‑focused, but genuinely inclusive and transformative for every Team Member who walks through our doors.
As our first specialist in this space, you’ll be a qualified SENCo, who will have the rare opportunity to build, influence and innovate from day one. You’ll lead the development of establishing robust quality assurance processes. You’ll champion inclusive practice and ensure our learning environments enable Team Members to thrive, by meeting their learning needs. Your programmes will reflect the principles and values that define who we are.

A day in the life of a Qualifications and Inclusion Manager will involve:
- Lead the strategic direction for qualifications, inclusion and curriculum development across the Phoenix Learning Academy, ensuring programmes are high‑quality, compliant and aligned with organisational values.
- Oversee SEND provision as the Academy’s SENDCo, carrying out assessments, coordinating support, and guiding colleagues to deliver inclusive, learner‑centred practice.
- Drive continuous improvement by informing curricula, embedding inclusive approaches, and maintaining strong quality assurance processes across all programmes and delivery models.
- Build effective partnerships with internal teams, operational leaders and external bodies to ensure qualifications, funding, data insights and learner support, all work together to deliver strong outcomes.
- Provide expert training, guidance and leadership to Trainers and Assessors, using data, professional standards and sector knowledge to enhance learning, teaching, inclusion and overall Team Member experience.
- You’ll also take on the responsibility of serving as the academy’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring our safeguarding culture remains strong, proactive and fully compliant.
To be a successful a Qualifications and Inclusion Manager, you’ll need:
- A strong foundation in SEND, inclusion and reasonable adjustments, with hands‑on experience carrying out initial assessments and shaping effective support strategies for Team Members with diverse needs.
- Be confident in quality assurance practices, from observations and learning walks, to reviewing Team Member work, with the ability to interpret and apply awarding‑body requirements and qualification specifications.
- Strong understanding of the therapeutic approach, that underpins daily decision making and implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, paired with solid IT capability and confidence using learner management, reporting and e‑portfolio systems.
- Highly organised, able to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines while upholding safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion principles in every aspect of the role.
- Professionally qualified or working towards relevant teaching, SEND or inclusion credentials, with experience in education, training or funded learning environments considered a strong advantage.
