Job Summary
Responsible for the manufacture of products in support of the company’s goals and customer needs. Within this role you will be responsible for the set up and operation of a range of WSBL machinery.
You will ensure you follow all SOP (standard operating procedures) guidance and follow all Health and safety procedures.
You will contribute to the continuous improvement objectives of the area as well as maintaining the established standards, cleanliness of the machines and all the surrounding work area.
Direct Report:
Shift Team Leader and Production Manager
Key Elements of the Role:
- Ensure that work is manufactured to the defined quality standards
- To ensure that the first and last parts of the batch comply with the manufacturing specification. Any parts of the manufacturing specification that seem ambiguous or incorrect, they should seek clarification from QA/Technical/Team leader
- Recording of process monitors and safety checks in accordance with team leader
- To record shift by shift productivity and quality data
- Ensure all material within the production areas is identified and correctly labelled
· Participate in continuous improvement programmes
· Understanding the importance of accuracy and detail with regards to measurements and documentation
· Understanding and appreciation of quality, and manual procedures
- Ensure that companies SOP procedures are followed
- Ensure that you are working safely and in accordance with the companies employee handbook
Procedure Responsibilities
· Operating under instructions from the Team Leader
· Carry out daily tasks in a competent and timely manner
· Follow all Health & Safety requirements of the Production Areas
· To be competent in using varies machinery including mixing stations, pick and place, batchers, presses and granulators in accordance with Health and safety procedures
· To be able to recognise, identify and correctly label all products
· Correct start up and shutdown procedures
· Responsible to carry out Measurements of products and completing necessary documentation
· Demonstrate safe manual handling
· Understanding and appreciation of Quality, and the Quality Manual Procedures
· Keep working area clean and tidy
