Clydebank Co-operative has been at the heart of our local community for over 140 years.
Established in 1881, our retail business currently trades from our department store at Sylvania Way, Clydebank in addition to our 6 KeyStore convenience stores throughout Clydebank. We also operate a successful funeral business from our funeral home in Hume Street, Clydebank and we have a healthy property portfolio.
We are currently looking to fill several vacancies for experienced full time Team Leaders throughout our stores.
Qualifications and Skills
It is essential that candidates have previous supervisory experience in the convenience store retail sector and are able to demonstrate an excellent level of customer service. Ideally, candidates will have undertaken the Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders course and hold a valid Personal Licence for the sale of alcohol under the terms of the Licencing (Scotland) Act 2005.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Processing customer purchases in a friendly and professional manner, including Lottery and PayPoint
- Adhering to legislation surrounding the sale of age restricted products
- Unpacking and merchandising daily deliveries
- Ensuring our shelves remain well-stocked at all times and that stock is rotated
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Reconciling tills and preparing cash for banking
- Supervision of staff in the absence of the store manager
- Ensuring the store is opened on time and securely locked in the evenings when on duty
