Job Summary:
Déesse Jewelry UK Ltd. is seeking a Senior Jewelry Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end development of premium jewelry collections from concept through commercial launch. The role is responsible for overseeing product innovation, design collaboration, sourcing, manufacturing coordination, quality assurance, and product lifecycle management while ensuring exceptional craftsmanship, market relevance, and alignment with the company's luxury brand vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of fine jewelry and fashion jewelry collections from concept, design, prototyping, and sampling through production and commercial launch
- Develop and execute product development strategies that align with brand positioning, market trends, customer preferences, and commercial objectives
- Collaborate with jewelry designers, CAD specialists, gemologists, manufacturing partners, merchandising teams, marketing, and suppliers throughout the product development lifecycle
- Oversee product specifications, material selection, gemstone sourcing, metal finishes, technical drawings, prototypes, costing, and production timelines
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate production schedules, monitor quality standards, and ensure ethical sourcing practices across the supply chain
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, customer trend analysis, and product performance evaluations to identify new product opportunities and drive innovation
- Ensure compliance with UK consumer product regulations, hallmarking requirements, responsible sourcing standards, and company quality assurance policies
- Recruit, mentor, and develop product developers, jewelry designers, sourcing specialists, and technical teams while fostering a culture of creativity, craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Product Design, Fashion Merchandising, Industrial Design, Materials Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Extensive experience in jewelry product development, luxury goods, product management, jewelry manufacturing, or merchandising leadership
- Strong knowledge of jewelry design processes, gemstone grading, precious metals, CAD/CAM technologies, jewelry manufacturing techniques, quality control, and product lifecycle management
- Experience with jewelry design software such as RhinoGold, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, PLM systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with UK Hallmarking regulations, responsible sourcing principles, sustainability initiatives, and luxury retail product standards is highly desirable
- Professional certifications from recognized jewelry, gemology, or luxury product organizations (such as GIA, Gem-A, or equivalent) are advantageous
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, analytical, negotiation, supplier management, and strategic planning skills

Pay: £75,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
