BAR MANAGER – EXCITING NEW OPENING
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to lead the team at an exciting new wine bar opening in Catterall.
This is a brand-new venue with a focus on great wine, quality cocktails, premium drinks and genuinely good hospitality, delivered in a stylish but relaxed setting.
We’re looking for someone who wants more than just another bar job — someone who can take ownership of the venue, help build its reputation from day one and make it somewhere people genuinely want to return to.
The role will include:
- Day-to-day management of the bar
- Leading and developing a small, friendly team
- Delivering consistently excellent customer service
- Maintaining high standards throughout the venue
- Stock management, ordering and stock control
- Helping develop the wine, cocktail and wider drinks offering
- Staff rotas and labour management
- Cashing up and general bar administration
- Creating a great atmosphere and building relationships with regular customers
- Helping organise tastings, events and promotions
About you
You’ll ideally have previous bar management or strong supervisory experience and be confident running a venue independently.
Good wine knowledge and cocktail-making experience would be preferred, particularly someone comfortable with classic cocktails and interested in helping develop a quality cocktail menu. However, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally important.
We’re looking for someone who is personable, organised, commercially aware and hands-on. This is a small operation, so the Bar Manager will very much be part of the action rather than managing from an office.
What we offer
- Competitive salary
- Opportunity to be involved in a brand-new opening from the beginning
- Genuine autonomy to help shape the venue
- A small, supportive team
- Opportunity to develop your knowledge of wine, cocktails and premium drinks
- Scope to grow with the business
