Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Early Morning Cleaner in a retail store located in Breahead Shopping Centre.
Your energy and attention to detail will help create a spotless environment for shoppers and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant retail community by ensuring the premises are clean, hygienic, and welcoming each day.
You will be responsible for performing cleaning tasks early in the morning, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and supporting the smooth operation of the shopping centre.
Duties
- Carry out comprehensive commercial cleaning duties.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to ensure a pristine appearance
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and surfaces, maintaining hygiene standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly in line with environmental protocols
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional attention or maintenance
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Ability to work early mornings on Thursdays and commit to 14 hours per week over six days
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting
- Reliable transportation or valid driver’s license (specifically US Driver License) is preferred for flexibility in shift coverage if needed
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment safety procedures is advantageous
