Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs
- Engage with customers through active listening and personalised service to enhance their shopping experience
- Negotiate prices and terms with customers where appropriate, ensuring mutual satisfaction
- Drive sales by promoting products, upselling, and cross-selling to maximise revenue
- Maintain accurate product displays and ensure the sales floor is clean, tidy, and well-organised
- Process transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Manage stock levels and assist with inventory management tasks
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles is desirable
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence purchasing decisions
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good IT skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic administrative tasks
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel or stock delivery
- Demonstrated organisational skills and effective time management abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
