Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Labourer/Joiner/Painter/General Works professional to join our dynamic construction and refurbishment team. The ideal candidate will possess a versatile skill set, enabling them to undertake a variety of tasks across different trades. Responsibilities
- Assisting with fabrication and assembly of structural components and fixtures
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
- Performing carpentry and joinery tasks including cutting, fitting, and finishing timberwork
- Applying construction paint and finishes to various surfaces in accordance with project specifications
- Undertaking roofing activities such as installation, repairs, or maintenance
- Assisting with plumbing, masonry, electrical works, or other trades as required
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to support project progress
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, or painting within the construction industry
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers
- Competence in operating power tools including drills, sanders, grinders
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with construction painting techniques and surface preparation
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, or electrical systems is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
