Materials Controller
The Role
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and keen to build a career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Materials Controller to play a key role in ensuring materials are received, stored, managed, and delivered efficiently to support our production operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse, stores, logistics, or inventory experience. Equally, if you're computer literate, eager to learn, and have a positive attitude, we'd love to hear from you. Full training and development opportunities are available for the right candidate.
What you will be doing...
- Receiving, storing, and issuing materials to production teams.
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Managing stock movements and inventory transactions through ERP and warehouse management systems.
- Performing cycle counts and supporting stock accuracy initiatives.
- Investigating stock discrepancies and identifying root causes.
- Producing and reviewing daily transaction reports.
- Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Participating in product line meetings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Conducting daily 5S and Health & Safety checks.
- Supporting and coaching colleagues on stores-related processes and procedures.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards within the warehouse and stores areas.
This role requires flexibility to work shifts and additional overtime when needed.

Desirable
- Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, logistics, inventory, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Oracle, WMS, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of stock control and inventory management processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with vertical lift modules, vertical carousels, or automated storage systems.
- Knowledge of Power Pick, FileMaker, or Cumulus systems.
