We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Support Workers to join a team supporting a gentleman who sustained a life-changing brain injury following a motorcycle accident in 2006.
The client has the following needs
A severe acquired brain injury
Registered blindness (since September 2022)
Loss of sight in his left eye
Paralysis and chronic pain in his left arm
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the client to live as independently as possible whilst promoting his safety, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Responsibilities may include
Providing person-centred support tailored to the client's individual needs
Assisting with activities of daily living
Supporting mobility and maintaining a safe environment
Encouraging independence and participation in meaningful activities
Monitoring and recording relevant information accurately
Providing emotional reassurance and companionship
Working collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals
Supporting the client in managing the impact of his visual impairment and brain injury
Hours
10:00am to 11:00pm, Monday to Sunday - £15.50 to £17.50
11:00pm to 10:00am, Monday to Sunday (Sleep-In Night Shift) - £11 per hour for sleep-in or £17.50 to £18.50 dependant on shift
