Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative and preventive treatments.
- Conduct dental examinations and prepare patients for treatment by taking accurate medical histories.
- Capture and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays to aid diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support the clinical team in managing appointment schedules and patient flow efficiently.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health principles.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry, such as X-ray interpretation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient cases effectively.
- Good communication skills to explain procedures clearly and empathetically to patients.
Requirements
- GDC registered Dental Hygienist / Therapist
- NHS experience essential
