Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and experienced Heavy Plant & Low loader Drivers to join our customer's team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for driving plant and related equipment safely and efficiently to various UK locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations while ensuring timely deliveries.
**Nights out and weekends will be required, with an attractive salary up to 60K!!
You must be flexible to shift patterns, according to work demands. There are weekend only opportunities also available!
Duties
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
- Conduct pre-run inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload the vehicle, securing it appropriately
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering traffic conditions and road closures.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Nights out in a well-equipped vehicle
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years C+E driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a plant/low loader driver or similar is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently to meet delivery times
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
