Contraflow are looking for both TRAINEES + EXPERIENCED operatives to join our team at our Cumbernauld depot!
Who are Contraflow Ltd?
We are a traffic management company specialising in the setup and maintenance of all areas of traffic management, from having a hand in ensuring the correct equipment is secured to transport at the depot to getting out and around, displaying signage and temporary lights on any road which requires traffic management assistance.

What will you do?
You will be responsible for ensuring the overall safety of our roads of course... but let's get a little more specific. At Contraflow Ltd, the daily tasks of a traffic management operative will vary between...
- Setting up and maintaining traffic management equipment.
- Performing tasks in the depot, including equipment maintenance.
- Installing temporary traffic lights as required.
- Physically demanding work and ensuring all operational needs are met.
You WILL require...
- A Manual driving license.
- Own transport to commute (unless you live within walking distance). You will NOT be required to use your own vehicle for the job role duties – ONLY to commute to and from the depot.
- No prior experience is necessary; however, a background in construction or labour is preferred.
- To be fully flexible… as our shift patterns will include day, night and weekend work + long hours over 5 days a week.
What does your pay look like coming in as a trainee?
- Starting pay = National Minimum Wage: £10.85 (U21) and £12.71 (21+).
- After 4 to 6 months, your pay can increase to £13.05 (day shift), £13.40 (night shift), and £13.90 (weekend shift).
- Within 6 to 12 months, with the required qualifications, your pay could rise to £13.60 (day shift), £15.70 (night shift), and £16.85 (weekend shift)
*Payrates for experienced operatives is dependant on qualifications held.
