Role Description The Clearance & Clean Operative role is a full-time on-site position based in Rainford. Day-to-day tasks include clearing properties of waste, furniture, and other materials, performing general and detailed cleaning of interiors and exteriors, and ensuring all areas meet required standards. The operative will handle rubbish removal, sorting and loading materials, and using basic cleaning equipment and products safely. The role also involves following health and safety procedures, reporting any hazards or issues, and keeping tools and vehicles tidy and organized. The operative may work independently or as part of a small team, with occasional interaction with clients or site contacts to complete assigned jobs.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and manual handling, with good overall fitness and stamina.
- Experience or familiarity with cleaning tasks, including surface cleaning, waste removal, and use of common cleaning tools and products.
- Awareness of health and safety practices, including safe use of equipment, PPE, and adherence to site rules and procedures.
- Basic organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to follow schedules, complete tasks on time, and work efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to keeping work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with respectful communication and a professional attitude.
- Full, valid driving licence and expereince driving 3.5ton cage tippers / panel vans required.
- Previous experience in clearance, cleaning, facilities, or a similar manual role is an advantage but not essential; training can be provided.
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
