Deputy Manager (RGN)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team as a Deputy Manager at our care home in Bromley (BR1).
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding care. The successful candidate will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, compliance, and resident wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager with the daily operational management of the home.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursing and care teams.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans.
- Oversee medication management and clinical governance.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and best practice standards.
- Support recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff.
- Monitor care quality and drive continuous service improvement.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and performance management processes.
Essential Requirements
- Active NMC registration (RGN) – Essential.
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager, or Senior Nurse within a nursing home setting.
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of elderly care, dementia care, and clinical governance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with care planning, risk assessments, and medication management.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of care.
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach.
- Stable employment history with demonstrated commitment to previous roles.
