Job Overview
We are seeking two skilled and experienced Assembly Operatives to join our dynamic manufacturing/joinery department. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality products efficiently and accurately, ensuring all components meet strict quality standards.
Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will contribute directly to the smooth operation of our production line. This position offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship.
Duties
- Assemble products using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical techniques according to detailed specifications and work instructions
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to identify and resolve defects or inconsistencies
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and accounted for
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets while upholding high standards of workmanship
- Assist in inventory management by accurately recording parts used and reporting shortages or discrepancies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on assembly processes and suggesting efficiencies
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an assembly operative or in a similar manufacturing role, preferably within a production environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment
- Experience with product assembly, including fitting, fastening, and testing components
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures such as stock handling, inventory control, and safety regulations
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.30 and Friday 08.00 to 16.00 – Day shift
