Waking Night Residential Support Worker

Job Summary
Infinity Care is an established children’s care provider committed to helping young people feel safe, supported and valued.
We are looking for a calm, reliable and caring Waking Night Support Worker to safeguard and support young people throughout the night. If a young person is awake, distressed or needs help, you will provide reassurance, practical support and appropriate boundaries.
This is a lone-working role, supported by clear procedures, an experienced management team and an on-call service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard young people and promote their welfare throughout the night.
- Support young people who are awake, unsettled or require emotional or practical support.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Respond appropriately to missing-from-care incidents, including contacting the police, managers, emergency duty teams and out-of-hours social workers.
- Manage incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
- Complete regular welfare, environmental and fire-safety checks.
- Maintain accurate records of observations, incidents and actions taken.
- Complete household duties to ensure the home remains clean, safe and welcoming.
- Provide a clear handover to the day team.
- Work confidently alone while knowing when to seek management or emergency support.
What We Are Looking For
- A caring, resilient and responsible approach.
- The confidence to work alone and make safe decisions.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to remain awake, alert and professional throughout the shift.
- An understanding of safeguarding and the needs of children and young people.
- Previous experience in residential childcare is desirable, but full training will be provided.
- Basic IT skills.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable.

Pay: £31,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
