Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bar and Events Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of event functions including weddings.
This role involves coordinating event activities, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the team to deliver exceptional experiences. The ideal candidate will be required to work regular weekends and evenings and have a passion for hospitality and event management.
Duties
- Working closely with the House Managers and overseeing operations in their absence.
- Supervise and coordinate event setups, ensuring all arrangements meet client specifications.
- Oversee the delivery of guest services, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high standards of hospitality.
- Assist with handling enquiries and demonstrating the venue’s facilities to potential clients.
- Support the team in maintaining organisation of event spaces before, during, and after functions.
- General FOH duties, including bar service, food service, peripheral and cleaning.
- Cash handling including reconciliation of Epos tills.
- Security of premises – opening and closing of premises
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, guest services or event coordination is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability in time management to meet deadlines consistently.
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering memorable events.
- Bar and cellar competency.
Due to the seasonal nature of the business this role has an annualised hours contract -giving time off in lieu of any additional hours worked during busy periods.
Pay: £24,180 per annum (£15.50 per hour)
Expected hours: Average of 30 hours per week on a rota basis.
Pay: £24,180.00 per year
