Total Electrical Contractors Ltd is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HVAC Apprentice to join our growing Mechanical & Electrical team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry while working towards a recognised Level 2&3 apprenticeship qualification.
You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience installing, servicing and maintaining commercial Mechanical & HVAC systems at a mixed Laboratory and Office facility on Milton Park in Abingdon.
- Assist with the installation of air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump systems.
- Support engineers carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Assist with fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
- Learn to commission HVAC & Mechanical equipment.
- Help install containment, pipework, brackets, condensate drainage and associated electrical supplies.
- Assist with pressure testing and system performance checks.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturers' instructions.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.
Requirements
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong practical and problem-solving ability.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The rate of pay is to be set inline with the JIB industry rates:
Stage 1 £8.16/hr
Stage 2 £10.60/hr
Stage 3 £13.05/hr
Stage 4 £14.03/hr
Pay: From £8.16 per hour
