Steel Detailer
FVF Ltd is a structural steelwork and fabrication company based in Throsk, Stirling with a reputation for delivering high-quality structural steelwork, heavy fabrication, site erectioin and specialist steel solutions across the UK.
FVF provide a complete steelwork package including design and detailing, due to an increased workload we are looking to recruit an experienced Steel Detailer to join our drawing office.
The Role
Working closely with our engineering manager, fabrication team and site operatives you will be responsible for developing detailed Tekla Structures models and producing accurate fabrication and erection drawings for a wide range of structural steel projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed 3D steelwork models using Tekla Structures.
- Produce general arrangement, fabrication and erection drawings.
- Create fabrication packages for issue to workshop.
- Develop practical and efficient detailing solutions that suit fabrication and erection requirements.
- Review wider design team drawings and identify actions.
- Coordinate and maintain project documentation.
- Assist with project planning and steelwork procurement where required.
- Identify potential design clashes and opportunities for value engineering.
Essential Requirements
- Experience using Tekla Structures within the structural steel industry.
- Good understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
