Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication, and the ability to handle deliveries in a timely manner. Duties
- use your own vehicle
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety procedures
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed off by recipients
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle at all times
- Assist in warehouse activities when required, including stock organisation and inventory checks
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type, including <PERSON> driver licences if applicable
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and GPS navigation tools is desirable
