Electronics manufacturing company based in Halifax, SME, owner run, developing, assembling and supply sensors and alarms to the telehealthcare industry to help vulnerable people to live independently in their own homes for longer.
Due to the continued growth of our warehouse operations, we have identified the need to create a new role within the team.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is to book goods in and out, picking and packing, dealing with shipments and deliveries, and control stock.
Location - This is a fully onsite position at our Halifax premises. Remote or hybrid working is not available for this position. Free onsite parking available.
Hours - 7:00 - 17:00 Mon-Wed and Thurs 7:00 to 16:30. We are closed on Fridays.
Qualifications
Desirable
- Minimum 2 years Warehouse experience
- Working knowledge of export shipments and related paperwork
- Knowledge of InXpress Webship
Acceptable
- Good knowledge and experience gained in a similar role

Duties & Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to)
- Receiving and inspecting goods, including unloading deliveries, verifying items against invoices and delivery notes, and checking for damage/shortages
- Reporting inaccuracies, discrepancies or damages immediately
- Accurately picking stock as required
- Adequately packaging orders for safe delivery to the customer
- Booking UK and International deliveries with suitable carriers mostly online
- Maintaining accuracy of physical stock at all times
- Accurately booking items in and out of stock using a computerised database
- Kitting parts for Production and ensuring kit is available as and when required
- Safely and efficiently storing goods in designated warehouse locations, creating new locations as required
- Performing perpetual inventory counts (PI)
- Working to company processes, procedures and standards
- Keeping work area tidy and free from hazards, reporting potential dangers promptly
- Undertaking internal or external training as required
- Carrying out such other duties as may be required within general scope of the job
- Full training will be provided for all tasks, systems and procedures required for the role.
- *NB* Lifting (up to 25kg) using safe manual handling techniques and, for heavy lifts, using mechanical manual handling aids or seeking colleague assistance.
