Overview
Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for maintaining and continually improving the company's quality management system in line with ISO standards. This role ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current, understood, and followed across the business, supports the wider team with quality-related queries, and ensures customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met Salary range is £30,000 to £32,000 pro rata.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance protocols aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits of production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform detailed analysis of quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality checks, audit reports, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, R&D, and supply chain to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Lead investigations into product defects or non-conformities and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Own and manage the full suite of SOPs, ensuring they remain accurate, up to date, and accessible to relevant staff.
- Identify gaps in documentation and draft new SOPs as required. Coordinate periodic reviews of existing SOPs with process owners.
