Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely completion of deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety procedures.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt of goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery logs and mileage records.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries.
- Strong driving skills with an understanding of road safety regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading goods safely.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Organised, punctual, and capable of managing time effectively under pressure.
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and customer service abilities, contributing positively to our organisation’s reputation for reliability and professionalism.
Pay: Up to £25,908.00 per year
