PSA Training is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Light Motor Vehicle Assessor to support learners across Level 3 automotive apprenticeship programmes and a range of professional accreditations and technical qualifications. This role suits someone with strong industry experience who is passionate about developing the next generation of motor vehicle technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality assessment for Light Motor Vehicle learners
- Support learners to build compliant portfolios aligned with awarding‑organisation (IMI) standards
- Maintain accurate assessment records and learner progress tracking
- Work closely with employers to ensure training meets industry needs
- Contribute to standardisation and internal quality assurance activities
- Assess technical qualifications and accreditations including EV, F‑gas, Four‑Wheel Alignment and Windscreen Repair
- Follow centre policies relating to assessment documentation, safeguarding, ED&I and GDPR
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong occupational competence in Light Motor Vehicle servicing, maintenance and diagnostics
- Up‑to‑date industry knowledge and commitment to CPD
- Ability to assess learners in workshop and workplace environments
- Excellent communication, organisation and record‑keeping skills
Desirable Qualifications
- CAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement)
- AET (Award in Education and Training)
- TAQA (Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance)
- Experience assessing within apprenticeships or FE settings
- Understanding of EPA requirements and KSB‑aligned assessment
