We are looking for a reliable, caring and hardworking Housekeeping, Laundry & Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Forbes House. You would be working predominantly within our Kitchen Role
This is a varied role supporting the smooth running of the home across our domestic, laundry and kitchen services. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the people who live with us, while also supporting the preparation and delivery of meals and ensuring residents' clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard.
The successful candidate will take pride in their work, be a positive team player and understand the importance of dignity, respect and person-centred care.
The Role
Your duties will include a combination of the following:
Housekeeping
- Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
- Following daily and deep-cleaning schedules.
- Maintaining infection prevention and control standards.
- Using cleaning equipment and PPE safely.
- Reporting damaged equipment or maintenance issues.
Laundry
- Collecting, sorting, washing, drying and ironing residents' clothing and linen.
- Returning clean laundry to residents' rooms.
- Maintaining laundry records and linen stock.
- Keeping the laundry area clean and organised.
Kitchen
- Assisting the Chef/Cook with food preparation where appropriate.
- Washing crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness.
- Checking food dates and storing food safely.
- Supporting the delivery of meals and offering alternatives where required.
- Following food hygiene, allergen and CookSafe procedures.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
