Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bank Housekeeper to join the team at our nursing home. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the facility, ensuring the comfort and well-being of residents and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a caring community environment through professional cleaning and janitorial duties. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospital environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks across various areas of the nursing home, including residents’ rooms, communal spaces, corridors, and bathrooms.
- Ensure all surfaces are disinfected and maintained to high standards of hygiene in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage waste disposal appropriately, adhering to infection control procedures.
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding residents’ personal information and uphold professional standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospital housekeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols within healthcare settings is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a busy environment.

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
