We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that reflect our culinary vision.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Collaborate with the team to create innovative dishes and seasonal specials.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring it is in good working order.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen management.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and training.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
