Summary
We are seeking a Trainee Furniture Finisher to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring our custom furniture meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetic appeal, contributing directly to our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Apply finishing techniques to furniture pieces to achieve desired textures and appearances.
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, staining, or sealing.
- Collaborate with carpenters and designers to ensure finishes align with project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect finished products for quality control.
- Assist in the development of new finishing processes.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in furniture finishing or related craftsmanship roles.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, staining, sealing, and finishing techniques.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition for handling heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to woodworking and finishing.
- Preferred: Experience with bespoke or high-end furniture projects.
