Position: HGV Technician
Salary: £45,760 - £50,000 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday
Overtime: Available & Optional
Location: Preston
We are currently looking for an HGV Technician / Refuse Vehicle Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Municipal Vehicle Technician to join our client’s dedicated Engineering team in their commitment to providing a high standard of service output for their customers.
HGV Technician / Refuse Vehicle Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Municipal Vehicle Technician Required Qualifications:
· City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs
· Car Driving Licence (HGV Licence advantageous but not essential)
HGV Technician / Refuse Vehicle Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Municipal Vehicle Technician Main Duties:
· General servicing, maintenance and repair of refuse collection vehicles and municipal fleet
· Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical faults
· Carry out vehicle inspections and routine safety checks
· MOT preparation and presentation
· Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and company standards
· Cope with the day-to-day pressures that a busy vehicle workshop brings
