Pharmacy@UHB Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of University Hospitals Birmingham, which was established in 2011. We provide a pharmacy service for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) and Heartlands Hospital Birmingham (BHH).
We provide a service to the outpatients and inpatients, due to be discharged, at both hospitals and operate in a manner akin to a community pharmacy
We are currently recruiting for a pharmacy counter assistant to join the teams at both the QEHB and BHH sites. The role would involve greeting patients; sales of over the counter medicines in the Outpatient Pharmacy; administration of the prescription tracking system and other general administration and stock control roles.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred but not essential - good customer service experience is a must. We offer an excellent environment within which to learn the fundamentals or further develop pharmacy skills, with the possibility of progressing to Pharmacy Dispenser for those which show particular aptitude.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-35 per week - can be discussed.
Salary: approx £12.50 per hour
