We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality in our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Work closely alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team during daily service.
- Support the development and testing of new dishes for the ever-changing menu.
- Contribute creative ideas that align with seasonal changes and customer trends.
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste across all dishes.
- Support a positive, collaborative, and professional kitchen culture.
- Take pride in delivering a high-quality dining experience for every guest.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, helping them to develop their culinary skills.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain an organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising kitchen staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various cuisines and cooking styles will be an advantage.
- Familiar with working on a fresh menu, including preparation and service across all sections.
